"AKD Paving" is a product that adds and mixes "special additives" to a typical asphalt mixture, resulting in excellent flow resistance and oil resistance. It can be easily manufactured at a standard asphalt plant and can be constructed using common asphalt paving machinery. It has excellent resistance to ruts and deformation caused by heavy loads, twisting from vehicles at intersections, and softening of asphalt due to oil (cutback).
